Hello,

let me first say that I appreciate the values on the left side more (and in most cases only) and that for me is no way to discuss about Agile Development in a serious way. But..

they are also some more negative facts about Agile - it's mainstream. For a company which has Software Development with traditional methodologies as the core business this is a hard problem, and imho its going to get even harder. Its seems to me the human society rides on the Agile hype (I was teached humans are going towards an intelligent society, years later it feels like going towards Idiocracy to me). I expect in the new generation of managers most of them will not know for anything else but Agile.

So, to get a project you (will) have to advertise some Agile in your marketing strategy. Agile has one and only advance over the traditional way - and that is quick construction of the first build.

Using traditional methodologies a Mock-up was used for the purpose of agreeing the requirements with the customer. It seems the time has come, the mocks are not enough anymore to attract the customer. The Customer wants a fully working mock from the beginning.

Once the customer is attraceted and trust you, you can form him in a way you want for a while (Understanding the customer value over doing what the customer tells you). So keep the mock working and develop the real system in the background.

With the Naked objects architectural pattern for example this should be a realistic task. Upgrading the Mock-up team could make the thing work, I'm gonna test it this September.

Shortly, I'm gonna start the second part of the discussion according to Developers as customers.

PS: I hope someone will join the discussion and this is the right place on this forum for this topic, otherwise a big sorry.
